Statement of Expectations

The Minister for Health and Ageing prepares an annual statement of her expectations (SOE) of GPET, which sets out her main priorities for the year ahead. This is common practice for Commonwealth departments and has recently been extended more broadly to other Government-owned agencies such as GPET.  The SOE does not set out everything that GPET is responsible for, but instead gives a public indication of the Minister’s particular priorities.

It is customary for agencies to respond to the SOE with a statement of intent (SOI) that sets out how the agency intends to address the Minister’s priorities.
